If you have received this error message from Paypal when trying to buy something online, it can be really frustrating, to say the least. To be clear, from what we can see, it is a Paypal bug and has nothing to do with the merchant or website you are buying from.

This is the error message you will see:

The Solution

This Paypal error message "An error occurred during processing. Please try again." will show when a user is trying to purchase something using their Paypal account and they have a $0 balance in their Paypal account.

The only solution is to transfer money into your Paypal account, either by bank transfer or credit card and then try the payment again.
