How to resolve text overlap issue in email signatures for iOS
Have you experienced issues with enlarged and overlapping text on your iPhone or iPad?
If you answered yes to the above question then don't stress, we've got a fast and simple solution for you that won't even require editing or reinstalling your email signature.
What causes these issues?
The cause of your text overlapping and displaying larger than intended is due to one of two settings in your iPhone or iPad. You may have changed this at some point without releasing or it may have been like that when you received the device.
There are two settings that you will need to look for and potentially change in order to resolve the issue. The first is Larger Text which can be located under General > Accessibility. The second is Text Size which can be located under your Display & Brightness settings.
Why would I need larger text settings?
The main reason for iPhone or iPad users changing these two settings is for vision impairment where it allows them to read easier, some users also just prefer to have larger text on their screen to make it easier to read. Unfortunately this not only affects regular text on websites and e-books but also affects email signatures in a negative way. Email signatures are hard coded with HTML and therefore have a set line-height to stop formatting issues from arising, these two settings change the text size but not the line height which is what results in the overlap of text.
If you prefer to have larger text when reading, you can still put these settings back to default so your email signatures will display correctly, however when viewing a website or text that you want larger simply pinch your fingers together on the screen to zoom in which will achieve the same effect.
