How to setup an email signature on iPhone Gmail App iOS 10
When you have finished customizing your email signature, Email Signature Rescue provides the HTML code for you to set up your email signature in both iPhones and iPads running iOS 10 with the Gmail App installed, following our website's easy instructions.
1 Step One
First, you will need to setup your email signature in your web-based version of Gmail. Once it has been setup in your web-based version, your iPhone on iOS 10 will automatically use the email signature too. Follow our instructions for setting up your HTML email signature in your web-based Gmail here.
2 Step Two
Wait 4 hours for the web-based Gmail server to sync with your mobile device's Gmail App. Now your email signature will automatically be added to your email messages sent from your iPhone if you are using the Gmail App on iOS 10.
After you install your signature in the Gmail Desktop app, the Gmail server takes about 4 hours to sync and update the signature across to the Gmail App on your mobile device. Please wait approximately 4 hours to test the email signature is installed correctly by composing an email from your mobile Gmail App. The signature will not show while you are composing an email, it will only show in your Sent items or on the test email when it's received.
Email signature not showing in your Gmail App on iOS 10?
1. Have you waited a minimum of 4 hours, maximum of hours, since installing the email signature on the Desktop version of Gmail? See important note above.
2. If you're email signature is not showing when you compose an email this is normal. You will not see your email signature in the email preview in the Gmail App when creating your email message. To double check it has been included, you need to send yourself a test email or check Sent items.
3. Have you turned the Mobile Signature option off in the Gmail App settings? If you have previously included a Mobile Signature in the options in the Gmail App itself, you need to turn it off. You can do so in the Gmail App by going to Settings > Select your mail account > Signature Settings > Switch Signature to Off.
