Download your HTML email signature file and save it on your Mac device in a secure location.
Open Mozilla Thunderbird and from your menu bar, select Tools, then click Account Settings.
On the left side, select the email account that you want to install your email signature into. Under the Default Identity section you will see your signature settings. Check Attach the signature from a file instead (text, HTML, or image) and click Choose. Navigate to where you saved your HTML signature file and select it. Thunderbird will now pull the HTML file from this location and insert it into your emails.
NOTE: Make sure that the HTML file is stored somewhere that it won't be deleted. If your email signature file gets deleted, Thunderbird won't be able to reference it and it won't work.
Close out of your Settings and compose a new email. Your email signature will now automatically appear when composing a new email.
NOTE: When composing an email in Mozilla Thunderbird you will notice red borders around your email signature. This is normal and is Thunderbird highlighting the table structure of your email signature. These lines will not display once your email signature is sent.
Copy your provided Signature Key. This may have been emailed to you, or you can access it from your Email Signature Rescue account.
Click the plus icon at the top left of the installer app to add a new email signature.
Click on the Select your email client drop down box and choose Thunderbird.
Click on the Select your email account drop down box and choose the email account you would like your email signature installed into.
Click on the insert your signature key field and press Ctrl + V to paste your copied signature key. If the key is valid, a green tick will appear on the right side.
Ensure the Insert for replies/forwards box is checked, then click the Install Signature button.
Our installer app will now install your email signature into Mozilla Thunderbird for you. When you compose a new email, your email signature will appear.
NOTE: When composing a new email, you will see red outlines surrounding your email signature. This is normal and is Thunderbird highlighting the table structure of your email signature. These lines do not appear when your email signature is sent.
