1. Google Chrome
Disable or Remove the Extension
- Open Chrome and click the three dots in the top-right corner.
- Navigate to More Tools > Extensions.
- Locate the Skype Click to Call extension.
- Disable the toggle to turn it off, or click Remove to uninstall it completely.
Prevent Reinstallation
- If you don’t want the extension to reinstall itself, check that it’s not bundled with Skype updates. Disable it in the Skype application under Settings > Advanced Options.
2. Mozilla Firefox
Disable or Remove the Extension
- Open Firefox and click the hamburger menu (three horizontal lines) in the top-right corner.
- Go to Add-ons and Themes (or type
about:addons
in the address bar and hit Enter). - In the Extensions tab, locate Skype Click to Call.
- Click Disable to turn it off, or Remove to uninstall it.
Prevent Reinstallation
- Check Skype’s settings to ensure the Click to Call feature is not being re-enabled during updates.
3. Microsoft Edge
Disable or Remove the Extension
- Open Edge and click the three dots in the top-right corner.
- Navigate to Extensions.
- Locate the Skype Click to Call extension.
- Toggle it off or click Remove to uninstall it.
4. Safari (macOS)
Disable or Remove the Extension
- Open Safari and click Safari in the top menu bar.
- Select Preferences > Extensions.
- Locate Skype Click to Call in the list.
- Uncheck the box to disable it or click Uninstall to remove it completely.
