Airmail 1.4 Mac now supports sending images in your HTML signature
25th July 2014
Great news! We woke up this morning to find a new update to Airmail 1.4 waiting for us in our inbox. We got a little excited when they mentioned: "Improved Signatures" in the email.
Why are we excited about this?
Until today, in previous versions of Airmail, HTML signatures were supported, but images in the HTML signature were not. Images would come through as attachments to all email clients outside of the Mac software.
For example, if you sent a HTML signature from Airmail to:
- Outlook 2003/2007/2010/2013, Gmail or Thunderbird, images would be attached and not shown inline in the email preview
- Postbox, Mac Mail, Sparrow or Airmail on Mac, images would show inline correctly (not be attached)
Is the issue fixed in Airmail 1.4?
With the latest update of Airmail to 1.4, it looks like the Developers have fixed the attached image issue and now Email Signature Rescue can fully support Airmail too!
We have run some tests here and it all looks good! So if you're an Airmail user, you can be assured that your HTML signature will now show correctly in all major email clients!
