Links in my email signature are not working when I compose a new email
Do you find that the links in your email signature don't work when you're composing a new email? Find out why and how to fix it.
It doesn't matter what email software you use to send your email, it could be Outlook 2013, Gmail, Apple Mail or Thunderbird, usually when you compose a new email message, the links, social media icons or buttons in your email signature won't work.
The reason they don't work is because the email message is in "compose mode". You should test to see if they are working correctly by sending yourself a test email instead.
If the links work when you receive your email message, it's working! It just doesn't work, for most email clients, when composing an email.
Links are still not working when I receive my test email
If you find that your links still aren't working, even when you have received the email, then you have a problem.
You will need to look in the HTML code and find the issue with your links.
