Add unsubscribe links to your HTML email signature
Do you need for a way for customers to unsubscribe from your every day emails sent from your email client like Outlook, Gmail or Apple Mail.
We've added the ability to include Unsubscribe links to your HTML email signatures, which allows any customer you email, to let you know that you they do not wish to be contacted again.
Using unsubscribe links in your email signatures are a great way to ensure that you're not contacting people that do not want to receive your emails and helps comply with many privacy laws in different countries, including the new GDPR EU laws that take affect in May 2018. It shows that you take your customer's privacy seriously and you provide them with an avenue of opting out of receiving your every day emails.
How does it work?
You can either go to the Messages tab and turn on the Block List Link in an individual email signature or you can turn on Unsubscribe Links for all signatures in your account by going to Settings > Block List Link > On.
Change the text link to say whatever you like, it might be "Unsubscribe" or "Remove me from your mailing list", "Do not contact me again" or whatever else you might like to write.
Include your email signature when you send an email and if someone clicks on the Unsubscribe link contained in your email signature, it will take them to a hosted page on our site, advising them to enter their email address to be removed from your mailing list.
Our software records a log file for you to download using the Download Block List (purple button) found next to the Unsubscribe link under the Messages tab in any individual signature. Account Administrators can download the entire block list for all signatures in the account from the Settings page.
The block list includes the date, email, signature ID and reason the user no longer wants to be contacted in CSV format. It is then up to you, to manually remove the email addresses in the block list file from your mailing lists and contacts or make note that this person should no longer be contacted.
